Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of Africa, Indonesia, Vietnam, China, South Korea, India, or Bangladesh.
  • Must be newly admitted for the fall 2024 term or later.
  • Must enroll in an eligible undergraduate program offered in English.
  • Must not enroll in the French immersion stream.
  • Must have a valid study permit at the start of classes.
  • Canadian citizens with dual citizenship are not eligible.

Scholarship Values

Scholarship amounts vary by place of origin, admission average, and faculty:

  • Excellence Scholarship (Admission average of 90% or higher)
    • Telfer School of Management: $80,000 over 4 years ($20,000 per year).
    • Faculty of Engineering: $100,000 over 4 years ($25,000 per year).
    • Faculty of Health Sciences: $70,000 over 4 years ($17,500 per year).
    • Faculty of Science: $70,000 over 4 years ($17,500 per year).
    • Faculty of Social Sciences: $70,000 over 4 years ($17,500 per year).
  • Entrance Scholarship (Unlimited, based on lower admission averages)
    • Telfer School of Management: $40,000 over 4 years ($10,000 per year).
    • Faculty of Engineering: $60,000 over 4 years ($15,000 per year).
    • Faculty of Health Sciences: $40,000 over 4 years ($10,000 per year).
    • Faculty of Science: $40,000 over 4 years ($10,000 per year).
    • Faculty of Social Sciences: $40,000 over 4 years ($10,000 per year).

How to Apply for the Scholarships

  2. Meet the eligibility criteria.
  3. Admission averages of 90% or higher will be automatically considered for Excellence Scholarships.
  4. Students from China and South Korea are only eligible for Excellence Scholarships.
  5. Renewal of scholarships depends on maintaining full-time enrollment and a minimum cumulative GPA.
    • Entrance Scholarship Renewal: CGPA of 5.00 or higher.
    • Excellence Scholarship Renewal: CGPA of 8.00 or higher.
