Eligibility Requirements

  • Must apply for and meet entry requirements for a Master’s or Doctorate by research degree at the University of Melbourne

  • Must not have previously received a graduate research scholarship

  • Selection is based on:

Scholarship Values

  • Living Allowance: AUD $43,500 per year (2025 rate), indexed annually

    • Paid pro rata

    • Includes limited sick leave, maternity, and parenting leave

  • Tuition Fee Waiver:

    • Up to 2 years for Master’s by Research

    • Up to 4 years for Doctoral degree

  • Relocation Grant:

    • AUD $2,000 for students relocating from outside Victoria (within Australia)

    • AUD $3,000 for students relocating from overseas

  • Health Insurance:

    • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) Single Membership for international students

How to Apply for the Scholarship
