Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must:

  1. Be citizens of African countries.
  2. Demonstrate good academic standing in previous degrees.
  3. Exhibit talent exceeding financial resources.
  4. Show commitment to giving back to their community, country, and region.
  5. Possess strong leadership skills.
  6. Be 35 years of age or younger.
  7. Demonstrate English language readiness through any of the following tests by June 20, 2025:
    • TOEFL iBT
    • IELTS (Academic)
    • GRE (Verbal)
    • GMAT (Verbal)
    • DUOLINGO English Test (DET).

Required Documents

How to Apply for the Scholarship

Step 1: Complete the AUB online graduate application and upload required documents before the deadline.
Step 2: Select the “Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program” under the Financial Opportunities section.
Step 3: Complete the AUB Financial Aid Application (accessible within 1-3 working days after submitting the Graduate Admission Application).

  • Applicants will receive an automated email from the financial aid office for access rights.
