Eligibility Requirements

  • Academic performance must be in the upper third.

  • Applicants must not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months prior to the application.

  • Employment in academia (e.g., teaching, research) generally not considered as relevant experience unless under exceptional circumstances.

Scholarship Values

  • Monthly stipend:

    • €992 for graduates

    • €1,300 for doctoral candidates

  • Health, accident, and personal liability insurance

  • Travel allowance (unless covered by other sources)

  • Possible additional benefits:

    • Monthly rent subsidy

    • Monthly allowance for accompanying family members

Required Documents

  • CV in reverse chronological order (use Europass template)

  • Motivation letter (academic, professional, and personal reasons)

  • Letter of recommendation from current employer (must be dated, signed, and stamped)

  • Certificate(s) of employment proving 2+ years of post-Bachelor’s relevant work experience

  • Proof of language skills

  • Copies of higher education degree certificates (with certified translation if not in English or German)

  • Full academic transcripts
