Brief Overview
Funded by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and Erasmus University Rotterdam, the scholarship is for non-EEA international students pursuing select bachelor’s or master’s degrees in the Netherlands.
Details of the Scholarship
Scholarship Amount: €10,000, with €5,000 applied as a tuition reduction and the remaining €5,000 paid to the student in 10 monthly installments.
For select programs:
Bachelor in International Econometrics and Operations Research
Bachelor in International Economics and Business Economics
Double Bachelor BSc2 in Econometrics and Economics
Eligibility Requirements
Must be a citizen of a country outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
First-time enrollee as a full-degree student in the Netherlands.
Must apply to and be selected for one of the eligible programs.
Must complete the following steps by specified deadlines:
Register in Studielink and submit all application documents in the EUR Application Portal by February 1, 2025.
Take and pass the mathematics entrance exam (if needed) by April 1, 2025.
Must demonstrate excellent academic performance (minimum average grade of 8.0 on a 1-10 scale).
Must provide a detailed financial statement explaining how the scholarship would help finance studies and living expenses.
Immigration application must be completed by May 15, 2025.
Must be fully enrolled by September 1, 2025.
Terms and Conditions
Scholarship is awarded for one academic year only and cannot be renewed or combined with other scholarships.
Switching programs after scholarship award is not permitted.
Meeting the minimum eligibility does not guarantee scholarship award due to limited availability.
Erasmus School of Economics may withdraw the scholarship if terms and conditions are not met.
Scholarship Values
€10,000 total:
€5,000 applied toward tuition fees.
€5,000 distributed to the student monthly (can also be used toward the living cost deposit for immigration).
Required Documents
Motivation Letter: Explain motivation for studying at Erasmus, academic excellence, and scholarship need (max. two A4 pages).
Financial Statement: Outline financial situation and need for scholarship.
Budget Plan: Describe financial strategy for study expenses if awarded the scholarship.
