It is a highly competitive scholarship based on academic excellence.
Details of the Scholarship
Scholarship Type: Full fee waiver and €10,000 allowance.
Coverage: Full tuition waiver (students only pay a small administration fee).
Duration: One academic year for 60 ECTS Master’s programs and two years for 120 ECTS Master’s programs.
Availability: 30 scholarships are available, with 20 candidates nominated by KU Leuven.
Country Priority: Specific scholarships are reserved for students from Japan, Mexico, Palestine, and the USA.
Eligibility Requirements
Study Level: Master’s programs (consult list of eligible programs).
Nationality: All nationalities except Russian citizens.
Academic Standards: High academic performance, reflected by a high GPA; previous degree must be from an institution outside Flanders.
Language Proficiency:
TOEFL: Minimum 94 (online).
IELTS: Minimum 7.
Cambridge CPE: Level C2.
Exemption for students with an English-taught degree from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA.
Disqualifying Conditions:
Students currently enrolled in Flemish institutions (exceptions apply).
Cannot combine with other Flemish Government or Erasmus Mundus scholarships.
Scholarship Values
Grant Amount: €10,000 per academic year.

Duration: Up to two academic years, depending on the program length.

How to Apply for the Scholarship
Submit Application: Complete application for an eligible Master’s program by January 15, 2025, including the Candidacy Form as an annex.
Register Candidacy: Submit the Master Mind candidacy online by January 15, 2025.
Selection Process:
KU Leuven Master’s programs nominate candidates by January 15, 2025.
Preselected students complete the Flemish government’s application form by mid-April 2025.
Final selection by the Flemish government is announced in May or early June.
