Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a citizen of a country other than China, in good mental and physical health.
  • Abide by Chinese laws and HIT regulations.
  • Age Requirements:
    • For master’s degree: Under 35 years, with a bachelor’s degree.
    • For doctoral degree: Under 40 years, with a master’s degree.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • For Chinese-taught programs: HSK level 4 (≥210 score) or a certificate from previous Chinese-taught education.
    • For English-taught programs: TOEFL ≥80, IELTS ≥6.0 (no subtest lower than 5.5), or a certificate from previous English-taught education.
  • Proof of outstanding achievements in academics, sports, or cultural activities is encouraged but not mandatory.
  • Cannot receive multiple scholarships.

Scholarship Values

  • Tuition: Fully covered.
  • Accommodation: On-campus dormitory fee covered.
  • Medical Insurance: CNY 800 per year.
  • Monthly Living Allowance:
    • Master’s students: CNY 3,000/month
    • Doctoral students: CNY 3,500/month
  • Duration:
    • Master’s degree: Generally 3 years (some programs are 2 or 2.5 years).
    • Doctoral degree: Typically 4 years.

How to Apply for the Scholarship

  1. Step 1: Apply on the CSC Online Application System at studyinchina.csc.edu.cn.
  2. Step 2: Pay the application fee of USD 60 or CNY 400.
