Eligibility Requirements
Non-Chinese citizen in good health, with no criminal record.
Must comply with the laws of China and the regulations of Zhengzhou University (ZZU).
Demonstrate a strong academic background, intellectual potential, and commitment to research or specialized expertise.
Not currently a registered PhD student in any Chinese university.
Degree and Age Requirements:
Hold an excellent academic record in a master’s program (18-year master for Pakistani applicants) or an equivalent degree.
Age must be under 40.
Language Proficiency:
For programs in Chinese: HSK 5 score of 210 or above.
For programs in English: IELTS 6.5 or equivalent for non-native English speakers.

Accommodation Allowance: CNY 1,000 per month
Monthly Stipend: CNY 3,500

Application Form: Complete with personal details.
CV and Passport: Valid for at least one year.
Degree Certificates and Transcripts: Original or notarized copies of both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Non-Chinese/English documents require a certified translation.
Research Statement and Proposal: Should outline reasons for choosing ZZU and the proposed research objectives, background, and methodology. Minimum 2,000 words with proper citations. Contacting a potential supervisor to discuss the proposal is strongly recommended.
Two Recommendation Letters: From professors familiar with the applicant, including contact details.
Language Proficiency Scores: Official report of HSK, IELTS, or other accepted language tests.
Physical Examination Form: Valid for six months, with blood test results in Chinese or English.
No Criminal Record Certificate: Original or notarized.
Other Documents: Publications list, proof of academic awards, professional qualifications, and relevant experience summaries, if applicable.
